  1. While there is a whole lot of truth in the quotations and their meaning/implication, it should not lead us to then sit back and not strive, not reach, not work for what we dream for, aspire for etc. These quotes cannot be held as justification.

Positive action result in Positive results.

  2. I think I have given you wrong impression, rj.
I am totally agree with you. These quotes are not justification of anything. What all I am saying is, life is best in balance. While working to achieve your dreams, you also should not forget to expect the unexpected. Work hard. But also remember that things can go wrong by itself without your fault. Do not make it an excuse. Work within your circle of influence but also acknowledge that things are there that are out of your circle of influence. Plan for expected as well as for unexpected. Whatever I said is one extreme of things. Whatever you said is another. Beauty is in balance between these two. Isn't it?

  3. About the second one:
"When you want something with your heart and soul, the entire Universe conspires in helping you to achieve it"

Was that Paulo Coehlo? I thought it was Mayur Puri who has written dialogues for Om Shanti Om. remember this one?

"Kehte hain agar kisi cheez ko agar dil se chaho to saari kayanath tumhe usse milane ki koshish me lag jaati hai.."

  4. Very good observation Hiren.
Actually Mayur Puri has stolen it (I guess) from book called "the alchemist" authored by Paulo Coelho. OSO released in 2007. While Alchemist was released in 1993. So I had used word stolen. But it is also possible (very rare) to have two persons having exactly similar kinds of thoughts.

  5. If Mayur Puri were asked pointedly about this line and its use in OSO, I am sure the 'teflon-non-stick' answer would be something on the lines of:

"I have read Coelho and his works and he is brilliant writer. Since he is part of my reading, I must have drawn inspiration from those lines. I have not copied those lines, merely put my words to the idea"

    :-)

That is definitely Coelho work. No shaq!

  6. Ha ha ha .. thats quite true, RJ.
These guys can speak in and against of anything and everything and everywhere whenever required. Even against their innerself sometimes.

BTW, your profile does seem to be revealing anything about you. Unknown makes me feel uncomfortable. Any reason for remaining anonymous?

And ya thanks for commenting, dude.

  7. My Profile:

No reason at all to need to remain anonymous. It's just I have trouble being honest about myself!!

Jokes aside, The 'About Me' section, I find is quite difficult to write.

Will be getting around to it soon!

Till then, I am the "masked timepasser"!!! ;-)

  12. Vipul,
    Any reason behind it?
May be you are not believing in it because (as said by anonymous) if something can go wrong, it will .. And almost in all of your cases (means whenever you wanted something from your heart and soul), there was a possibility of something going wrong as well and that wrong had happened with you...
