Sachin tendulker's appraisal - hillarious

After the historic match Ind Vs SA.Sachin scored 200 Runs IN 147Balls.25XFour / 3XSix / 12X2 / 52X1.

Manager to Sachin :Agree you have done GREAT BUT BUT BUT BUT25 x 4s = 1003 x 6s = 18IT implies that you have done 118 Runs in 28 Balls (Good)12 x 2s = 2458 x 1s = 58 IT means you have done all 200 Runs in only 98 balls (Very good) Fact is you have wasted 147 - 98 = 49 balls Considering only 1 run scored on each of these balls you could have earned 49 valuable RUNS FOR OUR TEAM

MANAGER’S COMMENT: So you only met the expectations and NOT EXCEEDING (though anyone of our team could not do it) and your Grade is DRP

Bug loggin by testing team ...

Introduction:

Roshan D'Mello (QA Tester)
Developer (Mukesh Thakur)

Roshan D'Mello: Hey Mukesh, there is a bug in your code. Type a text in
username text box and press enter. Beep sound doesn't appear.
Mukesh Thakur: How can that be a bug? There is no requirement that beep
sound should come. Anyway, I will assign it to offshore and get it fixed.

After 2 days,

Mukesh Thakur: Roshan, bug is fixed. Please verify.

After another 2 days,

Roshan D'Mello: I have re-opened the bug because sound is not coming in
some PCs. Sound is coming in my machine, but my colleague Rajat Choudhry
is not getting the sound.

After another 2 days,

Mukesh Thakur: Not a bug. I observed that your friend Rajat Choudhry h as
Old IBM machine. Unlike your DELL machine, IBM machines do not have
inbuilt speakers. So, to hear the sound in Rajat Choudhry's machine,
please use head phones and then get the bug closed soon.

Another 2 days,

Roshan D'Mello: I have re-opened the bug because sound tone is Different
across different machines. Sound is coming as 'BEEP' in my machine, but My
colleague Rajat Choudhry who is having IBM machine is getting the sound as
'TONG'.

Mukesh Thakur: Not a bug. Get lost man. What can we do for the bug? The
Two machines are built in such a way that they produce different sounds.Do
You expect the developers to rebuild the IBM processors to make them
uniform?
Please close it.

Another 2 days,

Roshan D'Mello: I have re-opened the bug because intensity of beep Sound
produced on 2 different DELL machines is different. My machine produces
Beep sound of i ntensity 10 decibels whereas my friend's machine produces
Sound worth 20 decibels. Fix your code to make the sound uniform across a
ll machines.

Another 2 days later,

Mukesh Thakur: Once again it is not a bug. I have noticed that the Volume
set is different on the two machines. Ensure that volume is same in both
The machines before I get mad and then close the bug.

Another 2 days,

Roshan D'Mello: I have re-opened the bug.
Mukesh Thakur: What ?? Why? What more stupid reasons can be there for
re-opening?
Roshan D'Mello: Sound intensity is different for machines placed at
different locations (different buildings). So, I have re-opened it.

After 2 days,

Mukesh Thakur: I have made some scientists do an acoustical analysis of
the two buildings you used for testing. They have observed that the
acoustics in the two buildings v aries to a large extent. That is why
sound intensity is different across the 2 buildings. So, I beg you to
please close the bugs.

After 1 year

Roshan D'Mello: I am re-opeing the bug. During the year, I requested The
clients to arrange architects to build two buildings with same Acoustical
features, so that I can t est it again. Now, when I tested, I found that
intensity of sound still varying. So, I am re-opening the defect.

Mukesh Thakur: GROWLLLL.....I am really mad now. I am sure that the Sound
waves of the two buildings are getting distorted due to some background
noice or something. Now I need to waste time to prove that it is because
of background noice.

Roshan D'Mello: No need for that. We will put the machines and run them
in vacuum and see.

Mukesh Thakur: ??

He is now in mental asylum while Roshan D’Mello has become QA Manager.

Excellence. Inside-out

A German once visited a temple under construction where he saw a sculptor making an idol of God. Suddenly he noticed a similar idol lying nearby. Surprised, he asked the sculptor, "Do you need two statues of the same idol?" "No," said the sculptor without looking up, "We need only one, but the first one got damaged at the last stage." The gentleman examined the idol and found no apparent damage. "Where is the damage?" he asked. "There is a scratch on the nose of the idol." said the sculptor, still busy with his work. "Where are you going to install the idol?"

The sculptor replied that it would be installed on a pillar twenty feet high. "If the idol is that far, who is going to know that there is a scratch on the nose?" the gentleman asked.

The sculptor stopped his work, looked up at the gentleman, smiled and said, "I will know it."

Nice one

One Night 4 college students were playing till late night and couldnot study for the test which was scheduled for the next day.

Got this in an email. Very nice.

A boy was born to a couple after eleven years of marriage. They were a loving couple and the boy was the gem of their eyes. When the boy was around two years old, one morning the husband saw a medicine bottle open. He was late for office so he asked his wife to cap the bottle and keep it in the cupboard. His wife, preoccupied in the kitchen totally forgot the matter. The boy saw the bottle and playfully went to the bottle fascinated by its color and drank it all. It happened to be a poisonous medicine meant for adults in small dosages. When the child collapsed the mother hurried him to the hospital, where he died.

The mother was stunned. She was terrified how to face her husband. When the distraught father came to the hospital and saw the dead child, he looked at his wife and uttered just five words.

QUESTIONS:
What were the five words?

ANSWER:
The husband just said  ' I am with you Darling'

The husband's totally unexpected reaction is a proactive behavior. The child is dead. He can never be brought back to life. There is no point in finding fault with the mother. Besides, if only he had taken time to keep the bottle away, this would not have happened. No one is to be blamed. She had also lost her only child. What she needed at that moment was consolation and sympathy from the husband. That is what he gave her.
If everyone can look at life with this kind of perspective, there would be much fewer problems in the world. ' A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step ' . Take off all your envies, jealousies, unforgiveness, selfishness, and fears. And you will find things are actually not as difficult as you think. Sometimes we spend time in asking who is responsible or whom to blame, whether in a relationship, in a job or with the people we know.

Quote of the day with funny story

Keeping Hopes may not improve your future, but it will certainly reduce the pain of Today !!!

Pehla Gadha:- Bhag to jata par yahan future bada

Thanda matlab khoka khola...........

પ્રીતનો એ નાતો

Pasting from received mail. Not too good. But neither it is too bad not to post.

2) Simply inspirational :

A wise physician: "I have been practicing medicine for 30 years and I have prescribed many things. But in the long run I have learnt that for most of what ails the human creature the best medicine is love."
I asked, "What is it doesn't work."
"DOUBLE THE DOSE" he replied.

Dhoni - Deepika - Yuvi - Bucknor - Harbhajan - Symonds - ...

After India defeat in 2nd test match against Australia (probably because of bad umpiring decisions), paper media, electronic media and people has said and written many things about it. All news channels, All news papers, Everyone's mail boxes, Everyone's thoughts was full of things about this test. The topic of discussion was from bad umpiring decision of Bucknor, to Symond-Bhajji controversy. From Yuvi-Deepika-Dhoni love triangle to what not. India was talking, listening, reading or writing about any of these things. What BCCI should do now? When Deepika is going to marry? With whom is she going to marry? What bucnor should do? What Kumble should do? What Ponting should do? And this list of questions goes on, on and on... This itself shows how much love Indians have about Cricket. Wherever you sees more than 2-3 people discussing aggressively, you can be sure that they are discussing about something related to this test. In any IT industry or software company or school or collage or hospital. Everywhere and anywhere people were talking about this test.

Best part was funny mails and blogs people had sent and posted. I have received many mails criticizing Bucknor, ponting or Symonds etc. So I thought why not to post a blog on this mails? Why not to combine all these mails & blogs? So I am pasting mails, blogs I have came across after India's defeat :

1) Nirma super and Deepikaji:

Sharad Pawar is in dressing room when Deepika Padukone comes there
Sharad: Ohho, Deepika Ji, aiye aiye Leejiye aapka Dhoni taiyaar hai
Deepika: Ye nahin wo( pointin towards Yuvi)
Sharad: Lekin aap to har baar wo wicket keeper wala....
Deepika: Leti thi... Par jab 6 ball pey 6 chakkey milein to koi ye kyun ley, wo na ley
Sharad : Maan gaye...
Deepika: Kisey? Sharad: Aapki parkhi nazar aur super sixer, Dono Ko.......

2) Did you mean ‘monkey’?

Today's hot news ...

Google also believes that calling monkey, by monkey, is not racism .. When searched on andrew symonds, Google asks "Did you mean : monkey?" !! It also displays nice, related images of symonds ... :-> :->
Check out this .. :-)

Note : Don't go on Google and search on andrew symonds.

3) Harbhajan Vs Symonds

Symonds came toward Harbhajan when he was batting
Symonds : Hey Bhajji do you know how to play cricket?
Harbhajan: Just Shut up.
Symonds : Anybody from Punjab knows how to play this game?
Harbhajan: Hey you just shut up, Teri Maan-ki (Mon-Key)......
Symonds: What do you say "monkey"? You racially abused me, I will make a complaint.
Harbhajan: Don't make false allegations if I really have to say anyone a monkey, I would have said it to Bucknor because nowadays he is doing umpiring like a monkey.

Google headquarter - Googleplex

Inside Google headquarter - Googleplex

Welcome board at googleplex!!

Googleplex is the headquarters of Google. Located at 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway in Mountain View, Santa Clara County, California, the sprawling campus is often described as a "fantasy land" for engineers across the world. The name Googleplex is a play on words, a combination of the words Google and complex. It is also a reference to googolplex, the name given to a number with infinite zeroes. The company also has offices in Bangalore, New York, Sydney and Dublin, among many other cities. Here's a look inside Googleplex.

The four core buildings, totalling 506,317 ft, were originally used by SGI and leased by Google beginning in 2003. In June 2006, Google announced that it would purchase the property from Silicon Graphics for $319 million. The Building # 43 is known as the Green Building, with recycled carpets and sustainable wood. Googlers ride motorized scooters to travel to and fro on the sprawling campus.

The interior of the headquarters is furnished with items like shade lamps and giant rubber balls. The lobby contains a piano and a projection of current live Google search queries. Throughout the corridors between the four buildings, there is Google memorabilia on display - in all its variety. The company also has guides who specialize in explaining Google's history to people. Hallway decor includes bicycles and large rubber exercise balls on the floor, press clippings from around the world posted on bulletin boards everywhere.

Googlers work in high density clusters, with three or four staffers sharing spaces with couches and pets. People's workspaces are full of individuality. There are couches everywhere. People can have a lie down when they need to and take a break. Most employees have high powered Linux OS workstations on their desktops. In Google's earliest days, desks were wooden doors mounted on two sawhorses. Some of those are still in use within the engineering group. The facilities include a workout room with weights and rowing machine, laundry rooms, locker rooms, two swimming pools, a sand volleyball court, dryers, massage room and assorted video games.

At the Googleplex headquarters almost everyone eats at any of the company's 11 gourmet cafeterias. One of the most popular Google cafe is Charlie's Place, named after the ex-Google chef Charlie Ayers. The cafeterias offer healthy lunches and dinners for the entire staff for free. Stations include Charlie's Grill, Back to Albuquerque, East Meets West and Vegheads. There are Snack Rooms packed with bins of various cereals, gummy bears, M&Ms, toffee, licorice, cashew nuts, yogurt, carrots, fresh fruit and other snacks. Also stacked are dozens of different drinks including fresh juice, soda and make-your-own cappuccino. In fact, there's a rule within Google: that there must be food within 100 feet of every employee.

One of the coolest stop across the Google building is the three-dimensional rotating image of the world on permanent display on a large flat panel monitor. What makes it special is the toggle switch that allows one to view points of light representing real-time searches rising from the surface of the globe toward space, color coded by language. Toggle and one can see traffic patterns for the entire Internet.

The Google campus also has replicas of SpaceShipOne and a dinosaur skeleton. The Google's Mountain View headquarters is the America's largest solar electric installation on a single corporate site, and one of the largest such projects in the world taken by the company Energy Innovations. The company's headquarters has a 1.6 megawatt solar system that meets about 30 percent of the complex's power demand. The company has installed some 9,000 solar panels, in the form of solar trees, some overhanging as parking shades others mounted on rooftops.

Security is tight at Googleplex. Every visitor to the Googleplex, California, gets a name badge and has to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

Mail which made me smile

--------------
Today I have received a mail (I am letting you to judge weather it is good or bad). Without reading its full content, I had started laughing. Till today I have not read it fully. But its really ......... mail (I am letting you to fill in that blank).
--------------

Here is the mail :

A BRIDGE TOO FAR
The Lord surveyed the Ram Setu and said "Hanuman, how diligently and strenuously you and your vanara sena had built this bridge several centuries back. It is remarkable that it has withstood the ravages of the climatic and geographical changes over centuries. It is indeed an amazing feat especially considering the fact that a bridge at Hyderabad built by Gammon using latest technology collapsed the other day even before they could stick the posters on its pillars."
Hanuman with all humility spoke "Jai Sri Ram, it is all because of your grace. We just scribbled your name on the bricks and threw them in thesea and they held. No steel from TISCO or cement from Ambuja or ACC was ever used. But Lord, why rake up the old issue now."
Ram spoke "Well, Hanuman some people down there want to demolish the bridge and construct a canal. The contract involves lot of money and lot of money will be made. They will make money on demolition and make more money on construction. "
Hanuman humbly bowed down and said "Why not we go down and present our case?"
Ram said "Times have changed since we were down there. They will ask us to submit age proof and we don't have either a birth certificate or school leaving certificate. We traveled mainly on foot and some times in bullock carts and so we don't have a driving license either. As far as the address proof is concerned the fact that I was born at Ayodhya is itself under litigation for over half a century, If I go in a traditional attire with bow and arrow, the ordinary folks may recognize me but Arjun Singh may take me to be some tribal and, at the most, offer a seat at IIT under the reserved category. Also, a God cannot walk in dressed in a three-piece suit and announce his arrival. It would make even the devotees suspicious. So it is dilemma so to say."
"I can vouch for you by saying that I personally built the bridge."
"My dear, Anjani putra, it will not work. They will ask you to produce the lay-out plan, the project details, including financial outlay and how the project cost was met and the completion certificate. Nothing is accepted without documentary evidence in India. You may cough but unless a doctor certifies it, you have no cough. A pensioner may present himself personally but the authorities do not take it as proof. He has to produce a life-certificate to prove that he is alive. It is that complicated."
"Lord can't understand these historians. Over the years you have given darshan once every hundred years to saints like Surdas, Tulsidas, Saint Thyagaraja, Jayadeva, Bhadrachala Ramdas and even Sant Tukaram and still they disbelieve your existence and say Ramayana is a myth. The only option, I see, is to re-enact Ramayana on earth and set the government records straight once for all."
Lord smiled "It isn't that easy today. Ravan is apprehensive that he may look like a saint in front of Karunanidhi. I also spoke to his mama Mareecha, who appeared as a golden deer to tempt Sita maiyya when I was in the forest and he said that he won't take a chance of stepping on earth as long as Salman Khan is around."

Yuvi at its best

I had enjoyed this moments live watching it with my friends and shouting at top of my voice, when yuvi hit 6th six (your guess is right, I was silent till yuvi hit 5 sixes keeping my finger crossed). Enjoy it ..

ASIC verification

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
None of the below mentioned quote is my own creation. I have found these quotes from web and as I found it interesting I am blogging it.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In this blog, I am blogging about good quotes about ASIC verification and ASIC veification engineers. These blog are for those ASIC verification engineer who finds bugs not by chance but by choice, for them who breaks themselves so that you (customer) don’t break, for them who collapses the timeline and make product mature faster.
Reason for blogging on this topic is friend’s demand (or truly speaking friend's harse comment). After reading my first blog my friend told me that “sale kuchh technical subject pe blogging kar na. Kyaa ye ghatiya ‘language - medium of communication’ ke subject pe blog likha he tune”. This harse comment was demanding me to blog on technical subject. Though the demand was, to blog fully about technical subject which I have not fulfilled in this blog, I found this quotes worth enough to blog.

So here we go … :

- In god we trust, everything else we verify.

- ASIC verification, not just a checkbox on your project plan.

- The bug stops here.

- ASIC verification : Where failure is always an option.

- We crash, so you don’t burn.

- To err is human; to find the errors requires a verification engineer.

- If designers are so smart, why do verification engineer have such job security?

- Trust but verify.

- ASIC verification : When Your System Actually Has to Work.

- I verified, therefore it works.

- I does passion-driven verification.

- Development is what you're capable of doing. PM determines what you do. Verification determines how well you do it.

- Verification delayed is verification denied.

- ASIC verification – because designers are only human.

- Bugs are not optional – they are bundled with ASIC.

- A bug in the hand is better than one as yet undetected.

- I don’t make ASIC. I makes ASIC better.

- ASIC verification engineer always go to Heaven ... they've already had their share of Hell!

- Project Managers want it to work. Designers try to make it work. Customers hope it works. Verification know how it works.

- Verification engineer don't like to break things; they like to dispel the illusion that things work.
